Important Information for Patrons
Season 2023 Information
Venue capacity and COVID
Capacity restrictions in our venues may mean that we may have fewer tickets available than in previous years, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment!
Keeping us all safe: Selby & Friends is committed to keeping patrons, artists, staff, and our volunteers safe and well. To that end, we will have strict health and safety protocols in place in accordance with each venue’s regulations along with government rules, and patrons will be required to follow these protocols for everyone’s safety. All patrons will also be required to bring their own mask to attend concerts should they be required by the venue, state or federal regulations for indoor events. Masks will not be supplied at the entry to venues by Selby & Friends.
Selby & Friends requires all patrons to Check In to their venue using provided QR codes. Contact Tracing regulations will require this information. Please visit the Venue Information page for your venue for links to its specific COVID policy. If patrons do not have a mobile phone capable of checking in using the QR code, please bring a pen or pencil in order to manually sign in at the venue.
Contactless ticketing system
We will not be issuing paper tickets for our 2022 Season in most venues. We strongly encourage all patrons to use our online ticketing system. This is a secure portal, easy to understand and navigate, which allows patrons to pay by credit card. Selby & Friends will also make available purchases via direct deposit or EFT.
Tickets for 2023: After purchasing through our online portal, patrons will receive a receipt by email.
A confirmation email from Selby & Friends, with all relevant seating information, will be sent to purchasers after the 31st January 2023 when the Priority Seating Subscriber Renewal period ends. This confirmation email will serve as your concert entry ticket.
As you enter the concert, you can present it in virtual form on your mobile device or bring a printout. You will also need to bring a form of identification (please see further information below). There will be no traditional paper tickets sent to you by mail.
Paying by EFT or Direct Deposit: Patrons purchasing tickets directly from Selby & Friends may prefer to direct deposit to the Selby & Friends bank account or purchase using EFT. We will require a completed Ticket Order Form emailed to our office at info@selbyandfriends.com.au so that we can identify your payment and confirm your purchase with a confirmation email. Please contact our office on 1300 511 099 for details of the Selby & Friends bank account details.
Email/Mail: Patrons are encouraged to order tickets online or please use this Ticket Order Form if you wish to print and fill it in to send to our office at PO Box 18, Northbridge, NSW, 2063 or email to info@selbyandfriends.com.au.
Please note: orders for the Melbourne series must be done directly with the Melbourne Recital Centre.
Single ticket purchases for City Recital Hall, Llewellyn Hall and the Primrose Potter Salon at the Melbourne Recital Centre must be done directly with the venue.
Please note: Mail times vary so please account for this when mailing to Selby & Friends.
ID at point of entry
Patrons will be required to bring a form of identification to the concert along with the confirmation email from Selby & Friends to show at the entrance to the concert. No ID may result in not being admitted to the concert. Valid ID will consist of a driver’s licence, passport, Medicare card or credit card for the purchaser whose name appears on the ticket.
If single seating is available on the day of a performance, we will accept credit card payments only through a tap and go system at the box office. We will not accept any cash payments. Concert attendees will be required to check in to the venue as outlined above. This is to keep our patrons, staff, and volunteers safe at all times. Our website will have updated information on single seating availability prior to each tour.
Exchange and Refund
Selby & Friends does not offer refunds after purchase. However please note the following exceptions:
If you are unable to attend a Selby & Friends concert in our 2023 Season as a result of a COVID-19 related issue (e.g.forced closure of one of our venues, imposed isolation or quarantine, government regulations etc), patrons can elect to exchange for another concert in the 2023 Season, transfer the ticket to another person with adequate notice given to Selby & Friends prior to the concert, receive a refund of the ticket cost for that concert, or a credit note towards future concerts. Please refer to our Venue Information page for direct links to venues for updated information. Single ticket purchases through Ticketek, City Recital Hall or Melbourne Recital Centre will need to be dealt directly with these ticket agencies in the above circumstances.
Concession card holders
As part of our terms and conditions of purchase for Senior, Student or Pensioner tickets, presentation of proof of concession status for all concession holders wishing to take advantage of the concession price is required at time of purchase either online or at the box office. Definition of concession status is a government issued Seniors or Pensioner card with valid number or Institutional Student ID.
